Bottles on the wall
I went to my teachers restaurant, Tonda on the Lower East Side, the other night. It's a really nice little restaurant, that is cosy and quiet, and has reallly good pizza. I loved the way it was decorated, with walls of empty bottles. I like how they catch and reflect the light.

Death of an Umbrella
The other day it was pouring out and really windy. While walking the 10 blocks back home in the storm after class I noticed all of the umbrellas that the strong winds had completely destroyed. In every single garbage can I passed, on each street corner, there were broken umbrellas. Umbrellas that were bent, ripped, turned inside out and broken in half. There were umbrellas everywhere.

Old Pipes
This plant was sitting in the corner of the yoga studio that I go to. I like the contrast of it against the old pipe and the brick wall.

Trash & Vaudeville
Outside of a little shop called Trash & Vaudeville on St. Marks Place that I often walk by. I love how over time is has been plastered in stickers and become slightly grungy and dirtier, which, although it was obviously not planned, works perfectly with the name Trash.

Hidden treasures
I found this piece of graffiti tucked away on the side of a building. It was illuminated by a small light by the side of it making it stand out in the night like a lit up piece of artwork in a gallery.
As the sun goes down
Walking down 2nd avenue, watching the sun disappear behind the buildings, leaving the city streets in darkness.
I love the contrast of nature against structure.
